Abstract
This study was conducted to identify factors influencing the usage of video in Tamil Literature, especially in national schools as teaching aids. In addition, this study was also conducted to identify the relationship between the factors listed as the determinant of video use in teaching activities. Symbolic Acceptance Theory and is used to identify the level of video usage. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach. A total of 60 respondents were selected as samples in this study. Questionnaire has been used to collect data. Descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation were used to analyze data using SPSS software. The results showed that learning using video were at high levels. Based on the results, further research has been proposed to increase the effective use of video in teaching Tamil Literature in a primary school among teachers. Further studies have to be carried out by identifying the use of information and communication technology such as online applications, e-portfolios, blog and so on in teaching and learning activities especially for Tamil Literature.
