Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the specifications in research on module development. Needs analysis is carried out to ensure the product created can fulfil user needs. Teacher professionalism is an important component that can determine success professional. Competence professional there are several programs that can be done, one of them is by empowering blended training for Islamic education teachers. Blended training is an opportunity for teachers to be able to develop themselves and innovate in developing the quality of learning in the classroom. This study was aimed at developing a blended training module for the development of professionalism of Islamic teachers in Indonesia. Data from the needs analysis were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 Islamic teachers in middle school using purposive sampling. Findings from the closed questions were analyzed by percentage while the open-ended responses were subjected to thematic analysis. The results of the study can be described as follows: 1. A teacher in order to increase his professionalism must be understand, master and be skilled in using new learning resources; 2. There is a need to design a blended training module for the professional development of Islamic teachers in Indonesia; 3. This module is expected to enable Islamic teachers to teach the subject of moral beliefs online or offline.
