Abstract
Action research is widely considered a key method in education for enhancing the quality of teaching practices. However, it has been found that teachers possess only a moderate level of knowledge and understanding of action research. This quantitative study, employing a survey research design, seeks to determine the extent of teachers' knowledge and understanding of action research. Using the purposive sampling technique, 335 teachers were randomly chosen as respondents based on the Krejcie and Morgan sample sizing method. A questionnaire was administered to assess the teachers’ knowledge and understanding related to the implementation of action research. The results revealed that teachers' knowledge and understanding of action research implementation remain at a moderate level. The findings highlights the need for teachers to deepen their grasp of action research concepts and for stakeholders to actively support teachers in enhancing their understanding and application of these practices.
