Abstract
With the advent of 21st century, the incident of September 11 and its aftermath has emerged as the most tragic experience for mankind. This bitter experience has stimulated us to explore various approaches that could enable peoples from diverse culture to co-exist harmoniously. Consequently, scholars have unanimously espoused "dialogue", the prinmitive means of communication, as an effective tool. If "dialogue" could play the bridgin role between different cultures, then the peaceful path attained in the Islamic and Confucian dialogue would be the smoothening and most charming approach. Despite various differences, they possess many common discourses in the theoretical aspect. Benevolence for instant is a value highly praised by both Islam and Confucianism, which could provide a platform to enhance communication and inter-reaction between each other. Both Islamic and Confucian civilizations have evolved through long history to become enduring spiritual resources for mankind. Various means of dialogue would enhance mutual understanding, thus drawing them closer to each other. Resultant of which would contribute much toward stability, racial unity and a harmonious society.
