تحاول هذه الدراسة إلقاء الضوء على النسل باعتباره كلية من الكليات الخمس أو ضرورة من الضروريات الخمس، وذلك من خلال الوسائل التي استخدمها القرآن الكريم في الحفاظ على النسل، وتأتي أهمية هذا البحث بكون النسل عنصراً أساسياً في بناء المجتمع الإنساني، وسبباً رئيساً لبقائه وديمومته، إذ بدونه لا يمكن لأي مجتمع بشری أن يبقی علی قيد الحياة. وقد استعان الباحث هنا بالمنهج الاستقرائي، حيث قام باستقراء الآيات القرآنية التي لها صلة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة بالنسل، کما استعان بالمنهج الوصفي- التحليلي، حيث قام بوصف قضية النسل على ضوء الآيات القرآنية وتفسيرها، معتمداً على أقوال العلماء والمفسرين، ومن ثم تحليلها واستنباط دلالاتها ومناقشتها. وقد توصل الباحث إلی أن القرآن الکريم عُني بحفظ النَّسل أيَّما عناية، ورعاه رعاية کريمة بالوسائل الوقائية، ودعا إلی نموه وتکثيره من خلال الوسائل التشجيعية
