The emergence of artificial intelligence has radically changed the landscape of digital communication, particularly in the creation and dissemination of information. However, this advancement also brings significant ethical challenges, particularly in the context of the spread of fake news through social media. Phenomena such as deepfake and the spread of fake news content have triggered a crisis of trust in digital information. Therefore, this study aims to assess the issue of fake news on social media in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) from the perspective of Islamic ethics, focusing on the principles of ethical communication according to the Al-Quran. A qualitative approach was conducted using Quranic translations and content analysis of AI-generated fake news on several online news portals. This article proposes an Islamic communication model, namely the 5P Islamic Digital Communication Model, which emphasizes the aspects of Evaluation, Filtering, Verification, Sharing, and Accountability. This model was developed based on analysis of Quranic verse translations, Maqasid Sharia Principles and AI-generated fake news content analysis. The results of this study are expected to provide guidance in formulating policies and ethics for the use of AI in the digital communication space.Downloads
