Abstract

He Zhu, a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, is good at using predecessors' words and sentences and implicit allusions in his poetry. The allusions cover a wide range of classics and history. However, when discussing his creative methods, scholars often ignore the factors behind the ci writers citing these allusions (especially historical allusions) and the affection they want to convey with these allusions. This article attempts to use imagery as the entry point for sorting out historical allusions in He Zhu's poems. Through the interpretation of the historical figures in He Zhu's poems, this article explores He Zhu's understanding and perception of that period of history, and highlights the historical figures in He Zhu's poems. How to play the role of self-conditioning and personal sentiment.
