Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Manuscript scripted to MNIJ template
  • References are according the MNIJ guidelines
  • Authors full names and affliations are provided at the last page

Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines for Authors

Submissions must be made to MNIJ Journal website  or via e-mail (mnij@um.edu.my) only electronically. Please download and use MNIJ template and EndNote style provided in Author Guidelines

Manuscripts published or currently under review elsewhere are ineligible for submission. Submissions require full names and e-mail addresses of all the authors and the final version of an accepted article cannot be further modified nor changed. Readers of the journal may send their comments on published articles in an issue to the journal office up to six months after publication. Should the editorial board accept a comment, the author(s) of the respective article will be informed and invited to respond to the comment within the next two issues of the journal.

Acknowledgements

An acknowledgement statement expresses gratitude to individuals or organizations for assistance, but not direct involvement, in production of an original work and should appear at the end of the article. In case of financial support or funding for the conduct of research, authors are required to acknowledge their funding and financial under the acknowledgements section.

Conflict of Interest

The corresponding author (on behalf of all co-authors) should submit a conflict of interest disclosure form and accepts the responsibility for accuracy and completeness of the submitted manuscript. All submitted manuscripts must include a conflict of interest statement. The statement will appear under a heading conflict of interest prior to the references.

Copyright

The corresponding author, on behalf of all other authors of an accepted manuscript, should fill and send the Copyright Transfer Agreement form to enable MNIJ to publish their manuscript.

English Language Fluency

Non-English-speaking authors who would like to have their manuscripts refined for their use of language might consider employing a professional editing service. MNIJ does not offer English editing services. Manuscripts written in broken English will be rejected if they are illegible.

Abstract

Articles should be prefaced with a self-contained, one-paragraph abstract summarizing the main problem, key ideas and conclusions. Provide a text-only manuscript and minimize the use of mathematical symbols and accented variables.

Keywords

Keywords should be written in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons.

Permission

It is the responsibility of authors to obtain permission for reproduction of copyrighted material including figures, tables, illustrations or quotations previously published elsewhere.

Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to MNIJ are subjected to strict screening using plagiarism prevention software. Plagiarism is considered an academic dishonesty, copyright infringement and a serious violation of publication ethics. Other similar ethical offenses include duplicate publication, data fabrication and improper credit of other authors contributions.

Journal Distribution and Open Access Policy

The MNIJ : Malaysian NANO- An International Journal (eISSN 2805-5152). As such, we would be grateful if an acknowledgement accompanies the republication that the work was originally published in MNIJ. The electronic version of the journal is available online. MNIJ endorses the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which has designed our journal system to improve the quality of research, is committed to supporting the open access publishing of scholarly resources. Authors must agree with this open access policy which enables unrestricted access and reuse of all published articles. 

MNIJ charges no fee for the submission, processing, or publication of our articles. There are also no charges to the reader.

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
