PENENTU SOSIAL PENGLIBATAN KOMUNITI DALAM PROJEK KEBUN KOMUNITI BANDAR SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN URBAN COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECTS

Abstract

The issue of community involvement in community development programs in urban community garden projects was reviewed in this article. Many community gardens developed with the support of relevant agencies, with its various concepts and goals have emerged. The need for sustainability of the project is to ensure the benefits are on an ongoing basis, which requires the involvement and cooperation of the community. This article elucidates the community garden movement and its effects on community wellbeing. It also focuses on the social determinants that influence the community’s involvement in the sustainability of the project. The findings of the analysis of past studies have contributed to a better understanding of the significant factors affecting the community in the People’s Housing Program area. Future research is needed to study the community gardening experience in Malaysia and to understand the factors affecting community involvement. In this way, the information obtained will be important as a reference to the local community in Malaysia.
