Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Cover letter to the Executive Editor should cantain: the statement on the novelty of the work; area(s), field(s) or discipline(s) in which the content of the manuscript fall into; statement on the original submission i.e., the manuscript partially or fully was not published or submitted elsewhere for publication; and a list of potential referees (preferrably 3).
- A separate Title page with title of the manuscript; a short title with not more than 200 characters including spaces; name, email address and affiliation of all authors; name of the corresponding author; and 4-7 key words that does not appear in the Title.
- Manuscript body text without any information about the authors. Author may incorporate figures and tables in the body text or can upload as separate files.
Letters to Editor
Authors are encouraged to submit their research findings that warrant immediate publications under this section. The letters should be writeen with maximum of 1000 words with not more than 3 Figures + Tables, and maximum of 10 references.
Original/Research Article
Manuscript (word limit: 4000 without references, figure legends) containing: (i) Introduction, (ii) Results and Discussion (can be combined or separated) (iii) Methods (iv) Ethics approval reference (if applicable), (v) Acknowledgement (if applicable), (vi) Conflict of interest statements, (vii) Author contribution statements, and (vii) References (no specific format is required for intial submission).
Review Article
Manuscript (word limit: 4000 without references, figure legends) containing: (i) Introduction, (ii) any subheadings appropirate to the teh content of the review (iii) Methods such as sytematic review or metaanalysis (iv) Ethics approval reference (if applicable), (v) Acknowledgement (if applicable), (vi) Conflict of interest statements, (vii) Author contribution statements, and (vii) References (no specific format is required for intial submission).
Brief/Short Communication
Manuscript (word limit: 2000 with maxsimum 25 references, figure legends) containing: (i) Introduction, (ii) Results and Discussion (can be combined or separated) contianing not more than 3 figures and tables (iii) Methods (iv) Ethics approval reference (if applicable), (v) Acknowledgement (if applicable), (vi) Conflict of interest statements, (vii) Author contribution statements, and (vii) References (no specific format is required for intial submission).
Case Report
Manuscript length (word limit: 2000 with maximum 25 references, figure legends). A full case report/study can follow any format as long as it is self-describing. Publication of any personal information about an identifiable living patient requires the explicit written consent of the patient or guardian.
Perspective/Opinion Papers
Manuscript (word limit: 4000 without references, figure legends) containing: (i) Introduction, (ii) problem statement that is discussed to develop or support a proposed opinion and/or perspective (iii) Discussion in favour of the opinion and/or perspective (iv) Ethics approval reference (if applicable), (v) Acknowledgement (if applicable), (vi) Conflict of interest statements, (vii) Author contribution statements, and (vii) References (no specific format is required for intial submission).
Hypothesis
Manuscript (word limit: 4000 without references, figure legends) containing: (i) Introduction, (ii) Hypothesis (iii) Evidence supporting the proposed hypotheis. Hypothesis can be supported using author's own empirical evidence or theoretical observation based on any existing evidence (iv) Ethics approval reference (if applicable), (v) Acknowledgement (if applicable), (vi) Conflict of interest statements, (vii) Author contribution statements, and (vii) References (no specific format is required for intial submission).
