As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Guidelines
The journal will only accept manuscripts submitted either entirely in English Language or entirely in Malay Language (Bahasa Malaysia). British English spelling and punctuation is preferred.
Research papers must indicate informed consent from participants, any interviews published or other personal information. Ethical proof of permission to reproduce visual material or to quote copyright material must be given and acknowledged in the article.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all references and quotations.
Detailed statistical evidence should in general be summarized in the text, though a limited number of tables may be included if they are clear and comprehensible to lay readers.
Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text; acknowledgments; appendixes (as appropriate); references; table(s) and figure(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages).
Abstracts should not be exceed 250 words are required for all papers submitted.
Each paper should have 3-5 keywords for indexing purposes.
Section headings should be concise and numbered sequentially, using a decimal system for subsections.
All the authors of a paper should include their full names, affiliations, postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers and email addresses on the cover page of the manuscript. One author should be identified as the Corresponding Author.
Please supply a short biographical note for each author.
For all manuscripts non-discriminatory language is mandatory. Sexist or racist terms should not be used.
Submission of Case Studies The journal accepts case studies. It is recommended that the following format be used:
Abstract
Case summary
Case conceptualization, theories , systems and research guiding treatment of the client
Treatment plan and actual progress
Challenges and accomplishments
Prognosis and indications for further treatment
Lessons learnt and recommendations for other counsellors and therapists
References.
Length Papers that greatly exceed these will be critically reviewed with respect to length. Authors should include a word count with their manuscript. Word count for original main text:
articles and original research between 3,000-6,000 words;
brief reports and notes on practice not exceed 2,500 words;
case studies should not exceed 2,000 words;
book or video reviews should not exceed 1,200 words;
brief letters, points of view, opinions, reactions and comments should not exceed 500 words.
Style Guideline This journal requires a short paragraph of biographical details for all contributors. References should refer to latest APA Edition. Please use no more than three levels of displayed headings.
Statement of Informed Consent Manuscripts must include a statement that informed consent was obtained from human subjects. Authors should protect patient anonymity by avoiding the use of patients names or initials, hospital number, or other identifying information.
Acknowledgement of Sources Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest All authors should acknowledge in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.

Copyright assignment is compulsory for accepted manuscripts and is required only after confirmation of acceptance. Following acceptance, it is assumed that authors have obtained permission to use any copyrighted or previously published material.
