- Al-Basirah Journal is a blind peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (June and December) by Academy of Islamic Studies Universiti Malaya Education Centre (UMEC).
- The journal provides articles written by academia on the areas of Islamic Studies.
- Articles must cover issues in Islamic Studies, Usuluddin, Syariah, Islamic Education and Arabic Language.
- Articles submitted to the journal may be written in three languages: Malay, English or Arabic.
- Articles should not exceed 20 pages of typescript of 7000 words, including footnotes and references.
- A manuscript must be double spaced, with pages numbered consecutively. Please keep formatting simple – 12 points double spacing in Times New Roman.
- Al-Basirah Journal prefers that article submitted be sent electronically in MS Word format to OJS (https://ejournal.um.edu.my/index.php/ALBASIRAH/about/submissions).
- Each article should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words. Please also indicate a few keywords.
- The methodology of writing shall be passed on the methodology of scientific writing. Footnotes should be numbered accordingly and placed at the bottom of the relevant page.
- All submitted articles are read by members of Editorial Committee and occasionally be sent to two reviewers for blind peer review. Author should allow two to three months from the date of submission for a final evaluation of the articles.
- Author should provide a brief biography that consists of full name, affiliation, current email, ORCHID or researcher ID.
