Abstract

The current study sought to identify the level of citizenship and Islamic intellectual security among secondary school students in the Hail region and the nature of the interrelationships between each of them, as well as to identify the differences in both, which are attributed to two factors: (the learner’s gender, and the educational level of the parents), and to achieve objectives. The descriptive correlative approach was used by preparing questionnaires; and was applied to a number of secondary school students in the Hail region, comprising (400) male and female students, and the study concluded that there are positive correlational relationships with statistical significance at the level (0.01) between the values of citizenship and Islamic intellectual security, and the results also indicated that there are no differences in them. This was attributed to two factors: (the gender of the learner, and the educational level of the parents). The study recommended intensifying the activities and practices that enhance the values of citizenship among students and also educating them about the Islamic perspective of the concept of citizenship, which works to find balance and intellectual security for them as well as to avoid deviant thought.
